Your South Indy Fall Calendar, All In One Place

Tuesday, Sep 15, 2026

If you live anywhere around Johnson County, the next six weekends are stacked with local festivals, farm days, and parades. We rounded up everything worth putting on your calendar between now and Halloween. Because half of us find out about these the week after they happen, and that's an avoidable problem.

Fall Festivals & Events Calendar: Franklin, Indiana (Sept–Oct 2026)

  1. Hoosier Vintage Wheels — Sept 18–19
    Johnson County Fairgrounds
Old cars and a swap meet — basically the flea market days of your childhood, if your childhood involved a lot of carburetors. A solid weekend for car people and anyone who likes wandering a fairgrounds full of things they didn't know they needed.
  2. Kelsay Farms — Opens Sept 25
    Whiteland, Indiana
Kelsay Farms kicks off its 20th fall season this year. Corn maze, hayrides, pumpkins, animals, and enough activity to genuinely tire kids out before dinner. Open weekends through October 25 — this is the one to build a whole Saturday around.
  3. Franklin Fall Festival — Sept 26
    Youngs Creek Park
A parade kicks things off, followed by races and live music, with fireworks to close out the night. It's a full day of festival packed into one date — plan to be there from morning through fireworks if you want the whole experience.
  4. Franklin Fall Vintage & Handmade Fest — Oct 3
    Downtown Franklin
Antiques, vintage finds, and handmade goods from local makers. A slower-paced, browse-and-buy kind of event — good for gift shopping ahead of the holidays if you're the type who plans that far out.
  5. Greenwood Halloween Parade — Oct 24
    Downtown Greenwood
A parade through downtown followed by a festival — and yes, bring a bag, because candy is involved.
  6. Franklin's Halloween 5K — Oct 24
    Downtown Franklin
Same day as the Greenwood parade, but over in Franklin: a 5K (entirely optional, no judgment either way), plus trick-or-treating downtown and haunted tours for anyone who wants a little more atmosphere with their Halloween.

Pick Two and Put Them on the Calendar

You don't have to hit all six [nobody's checking]. But pick two, add them to your calendar today while you're actually thinking about it, and enjoy the season. It goes fast.
